The 2025-26 MJCT season wrapped up this weekend at the Altona Curling Club with the 2026 Tour Championships. The top 8 men’s and 10 women’s teams from the season standings competed over three days for the final points of the year.
As is customary, here is our graduating class of 2025-26.
Team Sugden, Men's Champion
Team Dundas, Women's Champion
Team Campbell and Team Sugden both ran the table in round robin play, finishing 3-0. Team Good went 2-1 to claim the third playoff spot, while Team Burton won a dramatic extra-end tiebreaker 6-5 over Team Boutet to secure the fourth and final semifinal berth.
In the semifinals, Campbell held on for a 7-6 win over Burton in nine ends, while Sugden edged Good 5-4. The final was all Sugden, as Nash Sugden and his rink scored a deuce in the third end and never looked back, cruising to a 7-3 victory over Campbell to be crowned Men’s Tour Champions.
Team Stewart and Team Eagles were dominant in round robin play, both finishing with perfect 4-0 records. Team Dundas and Team Hayward each went 3-1 to round out the playoff field.
The semifinals saw Dundas defeat the undefeated Stewart 7-4, while Eagles edged Hayward 8-5. In the final, Team Dundas and her team built a lead and held off Eagles 6-4 to capture the Women’s Tour Championship for the second consecutive year.
Both Team Sugden and Team Dundas also finished the season at the top of the overall MJCT points standings, earning each of them a paid entry into the Co-ops of Manitoba Junior Provincial Championships.
