Thank you to all teams who participated in our spring events. The fall/winter schedule is currently being finalized and will be released shortly. Please check back as you plan the rest of your season!
Please familiarize yourself with the updated rules as they have changed since the beginning of the season. The most significant change was in regards to the points allocation for the Tour Championships and the awarding of the provincial berth spot – see below.
9.4 The points allocation are double for the Tour Championships (i.e 10 points per team for a pool of 100 available during the playoff round). Teulon MJCT 2017 Draw
We are looking forward to all of you visiting Teulon this weekend and supporting our 1st MJCT event of the 2017 Season!
Welcome everyone to the 2017 MJCT season which has snuck up on us with our first event in Teulon from Feb 10 to 12. There is still room to enter a team (tomorrow at 4:30pm is the deadline) so please get your entries in!
Points are extremely important this season as the qualification for the berth spot will go to the team with the most points after the conclusion of the Tour Championships in December. We still have to receive final confirmation from CurlMB but that is the direction we’ve been given.
We are also working on a few other slight rule changes thanks to the input of those who attended the AGM and those that are on the Rules Committee. Again we are just waiting for final confirmation that it doesn’t impact our berth spot allocation before posting them on the website.
Please get your teams registered – see http://mjct.ca/register/ for more information. New this year will also be a team waiver with regards to videotaping and photography. Details to follow.
Our spring events are all confirmed and the information is updated on the website at http://mjct.ca/events/2017-events/. We are happy to announce Morris has joined the tour for an event in March and the Elmwood one is back in April. This will give teams lots of opportunity to earn those points early! Please note for the spring events only, team seeding will be done based on the teams competing in the particular event.
We are also extremely pleased to announce that Morris will be home to the MJCT Tour Championships in December this year!
The 2017 spring schedule is set, check out the upcoming events here! The Teulon MJCT deadline is this Friday Feb 3rd by 4:30 pm, there is still time to get your team registered!
